About Me
Launched in 2022, this blog is for a community of readers that often find themselves lost when a group of people starts discussing the technical part of computers. Here you can read a collection of articles you'll find informative and helpful, articles that will increase your knowledge of computers and how they work.
GERT SMIT
TECH BLOGGER
Computers, and their components, have improved drastically over the last decade and this trend of improvement is likely to become much faster. It's very difficult to keep up to date with that latest computer technology because the latest technology right now might not be the latest technology in two weeks time.
Although computer technology is on a rocket ship trajectory of improvement, the basic components still remain the same. Your networking, peripherals, internal and external components still perform the same basic functionality they have for years. This is why I, Gert Smit, am starting this blog.
I've had to do some research about computers and their components before and it's very hard to find a good source, apart from Wikipedia, that has all the information I require in one place.
To kick-start this blog and set the foundation for the articles to come, I'm starting with a set of "What is" articles explaining the function of each component and how they work. Once I have a great foundation of knowledge going, my article focus will turn towards how these components interact with each other and what they do for your daily computer use. Take a moment and have a look at the articles we have available so far.
